The 215-unit Pacific Gate tower, set to open by year’s end at the southeast corner of Broadway and Pacific Highway offers homes starting at $1.1 million and ranging from 1,276 to 2,608 square feet. So far, 108 units have been reserved, which accounts for 50% of the building.
Pacific Gate was designed by New York architect Kohn Pedersen Fox. One of the recently announced features of the development is a 26 foot sculpture called "Pacific Soul," by Spanish artist Juame Plensa. Located at the base of the building, amongst what is projected to be 10,000 square feet of retail and possibly restaurant space, the stainless steel sculpture will be manufactured in Barcelona and will be made up of bands of letters and symbols from eight languages.
